On our way to a youth education concert today, my 10 year old, Peanut, noticed a lighted road sign that said, "Drink, drive, go to jail." She asked me if I noticed the sign.
"Yes."
"Mommy, Mrs. D_____ drinks and drives."
I have let her ride with this friend of ours many times, so it took me aback for a second. Then the light bulb went off.
"Peanut, that sign is talking about drinking alcohol and driving."
"Oooohhh!"
Gotta love sweet innocence!
